Workshop with Fay Maxwell, 19th February

Hi everyone, here is a list of requirements for our workshop in which we will be working on the slash method of producing new fabric.

Rag Bag

Heavier weight base fabric size to suit approx 10" x 20"

Fine piece of fabric for the top and also the lining (if making a bag)

Sewing machine

Threads

Fine cutting scissors

Sewing kit

Ardingly Quilt Show 2016

On Saturday, several members of the group went to our local quilt show at Ardingly.  

There was plenty to see and tempt you on the various trade stalls.  My mind was sent into a spin with all the patchwork ideas and the choice of materials and colours.

The quilts displayed showed some amazing quilting.

I love this striking drunken path panel - will definitely be looking into different ways of arranging the block.

Shoebox Shuffle

December 2015

We spent a lovely morning, helped along by coffee and mince pies, opening our boxes to discover how we all interpreted the block each of us had chosen. Everyone was very pleased with their blocks and looking forward to piecing their quilts.
